Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
Muletown Mail is a free weekly email newsletter about Columbia, Tennessee and southern Maury County, published by Jesse Haynes in Columbia, Tennessee. This policy explains what information we collect, what we do with it, and how to reach us.
What We Collect
- Your email address, when you sign up on this website, through a sign-up form on Facebook or Instagram, or any other way you choose to give it to us.
- Answers you give on a sign-up form, such as which town you live in.
- Where your sign-up came from, such as the ad, post or website link you used.
- How you use the newsletter, such as whether an issue was opened and which links were clicked. Our email provider records this automatically, and we count clicks on sponsor links so we can report totals to sponsors.
- Basic website data, such as pages visited and the type of browser and device, collected by our hosting and security providers and by Google Analytics.
How We Use It
- To send you Muletown Mail and a welcome email when you sign up.
- To understand which issues, sections and links readers find useful.
- To learn which ads and posts bring in readers, so we spend our advertising budget well.
- To tell sponsors general facts about our readers, such as how many readers we have or how many clicked their link. We share totals only, never your email address or anything that identifies you.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give or rent our subscriber list to sponsors or anyone else.
We use a few service providers to run the newsletter and website. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:
- beehiiv, which stores our subscriber list and sends the newsletter.
- Google Analytics, which measures visits to this website.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), when you sign up through a form on Facebook or Instagram, and for measuring our ads.
- Make.com, which moves sign-ups from Facebook and Instagram forms into our subscriber list.
- Cloudflare and DreamHost, which host and protect this website.
We may also share information if the law requires it, such as to respond to a valid subpoena or court order.
Your Choices
- Unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Ask us to see or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days.
Children
Muletown Mail is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If the change is significant, we will mention it in the newsletter.
