It's official: Columbia is the Fruit Tea Capital of the World

Mayor Chaz Molder read two proclamations at Columbia Main Street's Fruit Teaser on Sept. 12. One declares Columbia the fruit tea capital of the whole world; the other makes fruit tea the city's official drink. A bigger party is on the way: the first Fruit Tea Festival is planned for Saturday, June 26, 2027, at Riverwalk Park, with live music, craft vendors, food trucks and a fruit tea tasting contest. Visit Columbia says details are coming in the next few months.
